Some more popular demand...
An old Kannada saying goes... "Bekkannu kankuLalliTTukonda haage"... for those verbal thinkers..
Bekku - Cat
kankuLa - arm pit
iTTuko - keep
haage - like
So adding up... "Like keeping a cat in your arm pits".. ever tried this? I mean, trying to hold an active cat in in your arm pits and trying to hold it there? Whats the feeling like?.. :).. The cat, though sits there, you can make out that it is trying to jump off..
This is usually told to explain a situation or a person who implicitly agrees to wholly agree with you but explicitly, disagrees in parts, may be to play safe or for fear of being taken for granted.. (well, thats all I can think of. :)..)
