Tips for light weight web browsing

A web browser renders web pages . The web server leaves a cookie in the local machine to get the info about the user next time he logs on. Some cookies are also harmful in the sense they tend to give out information. Some cookies can be used by multiple web servers. So beware!

Browser saves visited pages in the cache by default. Next time, when the user tries to access this page, browser by default, tries to look for this page in the cache and load the same. If there has been a change in the page, user has to press either CTRL+R or F5 to refresh the page. Sometimes even this doesn't work and he has to clear the cache using the tools menu and load the page again .

The site info is saved in the browser history , so that it helps the user find what he browsed for in the past. If a limit to the number of sites is set , browser history gets cleared by itself depending on how frequently you use it.

So the tip is to clear the cache and cookies everytime you close the browser . History can remain there since you will be prompted for it next time if you want to go there.
