thought of the day!!

My brother had given me a sweater when he came back from the US. It was a good one. I wore it to the office yesterday and everyone was all praises for it. What a concept right? Do something, for which you'll be praised, applauded.

Same is the case with a maid servant of ours. All the houses where she works, eveyone praises her for her dedication and hardworking nature.

Does it mean all those who are hardworking, get their due share of these undemanded appreciation? No. Surely not. The point is, these people put their hearts into thier work. They do the work without expecting either appreciation or criticism. They just do their job and thats it. They remove the thoughts of that job from their mind. But they keep track of what they are doing and they know very well what they are doing. This is what happens when you put your heart into it.

Got to spend one day putting your entire heart into it. Do everything wholeheartedly, consciously putting an effort in doing so.

  • My thought about not having many permits me to believe that we naturally do best what comes to us that way, mostly when we're able to avoid distraction. Most of the interrupting confusion we experience relative to our actions comes from our own self perceptions. Its difficult enough for all of us to multi task our way through life as we must, but then, add preliminary anticipation to the whole process and you realize your doing twice the work. We all do it, and it certainly gets in the way of action, and most importantly comfort in all of our social relationships. But, if we do what we love, and people recognize this as they usually do, we find we become more fluently comfortable, the skills just come to us more as a matter of instinct then that of foremost thought. Imagine the janitor working backward from the far end of the cafeteria of a small town high school. He knows every dusty stubborn corner, feels them coming up behind him early enough to spin and get them all without a break in his stride, dance of the mind and the mop. Skill and comfort that would take years of practice and skill. All the while, a comfortable smile well balanced with the pace of steady work. We all find our comfort in life, the question, I feel so lucks to say, is...What do we most naturally love to do, because thats what I'll do best.
